👋 Hi

I am Sam Vanbelle (they/them), an Antwerp based illustrator, animator and designer. I make playful, easy readable 🔎 and well thought out images 📏 

I draw for a wide range of clients: brands, publishing houses, advertising and communication agencies, non profit organizations, cities, magazines, newspapers, and more 🎺

I care about diversity. I show a wide variety of people in my illustrations: people of color, strong feminine figures, lgbtqia+ people 🌈 disabled people, etc. And I love to think out communication strategies for people who can use some  visual guidance behind language 👀

When I’m not behind my desk I teach at Sint Lucas Antwerpen 👔 play around in sketchbooks ✏️ experiment with riso machines and cardboard ✂️ search for birds with our little kid ☝️, buy too many picture books 📚 eat vegetables🍦and drink snobby coffee 🕳
